SCIENCE

Here is my page with tips to help you understand  Grade 7  solutions and electricity chapters.

Check out the video below

All about SOLUTIONS

I was learning about different solutions and I was having a hard time remembering what they were. So I decided to make each solution in real life and then try to teach it to my brother. If I could teach him about it, then I would really understand it. My Grandmother was filming this video, you can hear her talking at the end asking me questions.

Electricity

This next section is all about ELECTRICITY

Electricity is an essential part of modern life. People use electricity for lighting, heating, cooling, refrigeration and for operating appliances, computers, electronics, machinery, and public transportation systems.

So what is electricity?

Well it's the flow of tiny particles called electrons. The electrons flow through a wire through the switch and the light bulb and all the way back to the battery. This is called an electrical circuit. A circuit is a word for going around in a repeating state. Electrical circuits have both pressure and flow, the amount of pressure is called voltage. The higher the voltage the more electrons jump. The number of electrons flowing in a wire is called amperage or amps. Amps are like the amount of water that's coming out of a drinking fountain the more amps the more electrons.

Most electricity is generated with steam turbines using fossil fuels, nuclear, biomass, geothermal, and solar thermal energy. Other major electricity generation technologies include gas turbines, hydro turbines, wind turbines, and solar photovoltaics.
